The project also involves the Kwara State Government, the Mike Omotosho Foundation and the Alliance for Smiles based in the United States of America. The cleft lip and palate reformatory surgery is to be performed by a team of surgeons from the United States of America, Australia and Nigeria. Cleft lip and cleft palate (Orofacial Cleft) are birth defects that occur when a baby’s lip or mouth do not form properly during pregnancy. Orofacial clefts (OFC) are the most common malformations of the head and neck.  ‎Rotary is also calling for the setting up of birth defects registries across the country. This, the organization believes, would help in determining Nigeria’s birth defects prevalence. “Rotary International District 9125 believes that there is an urgent need to invest in children with birth defects and reduce neonatal and under 5 mortali...

IS W0MEN'S RIGHTS HUMAN'S RIGHTS

Over one hundred and fifty years ago the first Women’s Rights Convention adopted this radical proposition. "All men and women are created equal" In a society where we all are living together as men and women, the big question is how true is the popular saying that all men and women are born or created equal? When a boy child is seen as special and a superior being to the girl child. When a woman is meant to seen and not be heard. When a woman is seen just as a marriage matter and as a vessel to bring children into the world. When a woman can't eat some foods because the society say it is only meant for men. Equality means equality in rights and opportunity, that is all the women are saying and not that the women want to become men ever though it is fun to be a man. It is the gender agenda today. #SayNoToGenderBaseViolence #HappyWomen'sRightsDay @raichabani
