I join my fellow citizens this morning to welcome and celebrate the New Year 2018. This year promises to be pivotal in our quest for CHANGE. 2. Unfortunately, I am saddened to acknowledge that for many this Christmas and New Year holidays have been anything but merry and happy. Instead of showing love, companionship and charity, some of our compatriots chose this period to inflict severe hardship on us all by creating unnecessary fuel scarcity across the country. 3. The consequence was that not many could travel and the few who did had to pay exorbitant transport fares. WhatsApp To Stop Working On These Smartphones From January 1, 2018.

Instant messaging service, WhatsApp will end support for some BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices, the company said in a blog post. Starting January 1, 2018, the Facebook-owned social app will cease to function on Blackberry OS, Blackberry 10 and Windows Phone 8.0. WhatsApp has clearly said that it cannot support the platforms as it will no longer actively develop for these platforms, some features may stop functioning at any time. "These platforms don't offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app's features in the future. If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer OS version, or to a newer Android running OS 4.0+, iPhone running iOS 7+, or Windows Phone 8.1+ so that you can continue using WhatsApp," the company said in a Support page.
