In a new article published in UK Guardian today, award winning writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie writes for the first time about her struggle with depression. (And you thought you were the only one?) Read below... Sometimes it begins with a pimple. A large shiny spot appears on my forehead. Or it begins with a feeling of heaviness, and I long to wear only loose-fitting clothes. Then my mood plunges, my lower back aches, my insides turn liquid. Stomach cramps come in spasms so painful I sometimes cry out. I lose interest in the things I care about. My family become unbearable, my friends become strangers with dark intentions, and cashiers and waiters seem unforgivably rude. A furious, righteous paranoia shrouds me: every human being with whom I interact is wrong, either insensitive or ill-willed. I eat mounds of food – I crave greasy stews and fried yams and dense chocolate truffles – or I have no appetite at all, both unusual for a careful, picky eater. My breasts are swollen an

Zahra Buhari, who broke the internet a few weeks ago when her beautiful pics hit the internet, has left twitter following serious bashing and criticisms from Nigerians who oppose her father's political ambition. The bashing came after Zahra tweeted support for her dad yesterday (read here). Guess she couldn't take it anymore and decided to delete her account or maybe she was made to? She used to tweet from Zahra3_ but the page no longer exists as at the time of this report.

FFK attacks Soludo, says he's confused, vengeful & has axe to grind

The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign, Femi Fani Kayode, has responded to the article penned down by former CBN governor, Prof. Charles Soludo. For criticizing president Jonathan's economic policies, FFK said Soludo is confused and has lost touch with reality. According to Punch, FFK said he would be gentle with Soludo because of the soft spot he has for him "Soludo has criticised the President, his government and his handling of the economy. Meanwhile Nigeria has just won the prestigious award of being designated as the largest economy in Africa and this has happened under the watch of Pres. Jonathan and no-one else. Should any right-thinking person, who has the nation’s interest at heart be complaining about that? Needless to say my friend and brother Charles Soludo is confused and conflicted. He seems to have lost touch with reality and this is what often happens when you spend too much time with the Buharists. I pray that sooner than
